Simplicity Dress - Black

Having had the privilege to visit the beautiful Greece recently, it was so evident how the simple things in life are celebrated in the mediterranean lifestyle. I could breath, go slow and be present again.

No need for a big, fancy house or the latest car. Not the ongoing rush to be everywhere for everyone or pressure to have an over-committed diary. No fixation with anti-ageing or world news.

Instead there were slow mornings, enjoying a cup of coffee after you have swept your patio. The joy of getting from A to Z with your 1993 motorcycle or a small 4-wheel car (that might have 5 dings from the narrow cobble streets). There were dinners with good, fresh food - depending what is available on the islands. No cellphones at the table - people were present busy laughing, talking and living.

Women of all shapes and sizes to be seen; happy to live in their own skin. Wrinkles are celebrated as wisdom and experience. You live from sunrise to sunset and you siesta in between. You check-in with your neighbours. You have enough for today and you are present, where your feet are.

It is slow and it is simple. Actually, I think this is God's way. We've made life complicated, rushed and a strife.

Let's return to the beauty of simple. If we all start doing things differently we might be able to breed a new culture.
